Rakdos is back! The efficient aggressive creatures, a small amount of card advantage and removal that can clear blockers or burn the opponent's face are my favorite combination. A B/R Aggro list Top 8'd the last Grand Prix and looks super sweet. The deck gets to start beating down on turn one and makes good use of Smuggler's Copter. Bloodhall Priest and Unlicensed Disintegration have not had a chance to shine but they are both great cards and fit perfectly into this deck. Bloodhall Priest in particular is a brutal top deck when both players are hellbent and is a great way to close out a game. The thing I like most about this deck is it's ability to finish an opponent off even if your opponent stabilizes behind an Archangel Avacyn or Ishkanah, Grafwidow.

Oh man, that last game was insane, Bloodhall Priest did work! Bloodhall Priest might actually be my new favorite card. This deck really delivered and I had a lot of fun playing it. We got to beat down, have multiple choices and with the removal/reach I rarely felt like I was out of a game. With the exception of the Emrakul, the Promised End, decks it was also interesting how some games we could just curve out to kill our opponent and sometimes we could leverage cards like Scrapheap Scrounger to attrition our opponents out. I think that is a pretty important detail in an aggro deck. Whenever you get a fast start, even if you don't win right away you want to make sure your deck can use it's early advantage to lean on your opponent until they break. The offensive card advantage from Scrapheap Scrounger, Pia Nalaar, Unlicensed Disintegration and Bloodhall Priest are your cards that let you lean on opponents until they break. These cards mean we don't need to win early, we just need a good start and it will all work out.
Until next week, GLHF friends. May you smite thy enemies with a Golden Axe!
