Standard is in a strange spot right now where the two top tier decks are very well defined. Four-Color Saheeli Rai and Mardu Vehicles are clearly a cut above the rest of the decks in the format, but there’s a shell of creatures that have the ability to generate the right amount of speed, disruption, and sheer size to fight through both of these with some consistency: Eldrazi. The pair of Thought-Knot Seer and Reality Smasher is a potent combination of pressure and disruption that has a chance to get the job done against just about anything. If you’re looking for a deck with the early pressure and interaction to steal games from the top tier decks in the format, but also enough midrange and card advantage elements to grind out even pure control decks, this shell looks very promising, due to the raw efficiency and versatility of its threats.
