That's right, Sol Malka, Atlanta native won one of the Draft Opens at the SCG Open Atlanta. Sol's name is not well known to many players today as he hasn't been overly active or successful in recent years. Perhaps his biggest claim to fame is the creation of the Green/Black Control deck archetype commonly referred to as 'The Rock.'

Past Sol's win, Edgar Flores won the mirror in the finals of the Standard Open, and Jesse Hatfield avenged his brother's defeat in the semi-finals at the hands of David Thomas' Dredge deck.
