Major Magic Events added to convention at last minute - Epic Game Con Feb 4-6, 2011

Anywhere near Orlando? Heck, anywhere within the South East of the US you should jump in the car and head to Orlando for an amazing weekend of Magic. Win your share of $3000.00, or one of the iPads being given away for Magic events!! Have friends who play WoW - there is a Dark Moon Faire going on in the same room as these Magic events - so there is something for everyone!!

And it will be a great weekend for casual players, or completely new players as well. There will also be a board game library available – come and try new games! There will be demos going on all weekend – learn something new!

There will be vendors, costume contests, giveaways and more. And if you just want to come peruse what is going on – well come on in – it won’t cost you a dime!

Booster Drafts!

Format: Booster Draft – Scars of Mirrodin and Mirrodin Besieged

Details: 8 players will draft packs from Scars of Mirrodin and Mirrodin Besieged and then play in a single-elimination tournament to determine the final standings

Start Time: Any time we have 8 players signed up!

Prizes: 1st Place: 8 booster packs 2nd Place: 4 booster packs

Cost: $15 ($12 special on Friday from 12 Noon until 6 p.m.)

Win-A-Box!

Format: Standard, Extended and Legacy Constructed available

Details: 8 player single-elimination Constructed event using a 60-card-minimum Standard deck

Start Time: Any time we have 8 players signed up!

Prizes: 1st Place: 36 booster packs from Scars of Mirrodin or Mirrodin Besieged

Cost: $15

Commander (EDH)

Format: Magic: The Gathering Commander

Details: 4-player single-elimination Constructed event using a 100-card minimum Magic: The Gathering Commander deck

Start Time: Any time we have 4 players signed up!

Prizes: 1st Place: 3 booster packs 2nd Place: 2 booster packs

Cost: $5

Mini- Master

Players receive 1 Scars of Mirrodin booster and 1 Mirrodin Besieged booster and basic lands to build a minimum 30 card deck.

Single game matches, single elimination – add a pack when you win!

1st – 4 Packs, 2nd – 2 Packs (plus the packs you opened and earned along the way!)
