Luis Scott-Vargas, editor for ChannelFireball.com, defeated Japanese pro Yuuya Watanabe to win Grand Prix Kansas City. As a limited Grand Prix players were given Sealed decks to battle with on Saturday and then Sunday was defined by their abilities to draft.
This is Luis Scott-Vargas' fourth Grand Prix victory, his last coming in 2009 at Grand Prix Los Angeles. Also notable was Yuuya Watanabe's 2nd place finish, which pushes him over 200 lifetime Pro Points.
