Due to a fire on the Carnival ship 'Splendor' which was to be the ship that carried Legion Events' Magic Cruise #3, they have had to change ships and thus the port of departure as well as ports during the cruise. It had been believed the fire damage on the Splendor would be repaired before the Magic Cruise took place, but they have since determined that it will not be ready in time.

Legion Events had the option of cancelling the cruise, moving its date, or changing the ports. They chose the last of the options, keeping the same cruise dates (Feb. 6, 2011 - Feb. 13, 2011) but moving the port of departure (from Los Angeles, CA to Galveston, TX). The new ports that the cruise will visit are: Cozumel, Jamaica and Grand Cayman Islands.

Steve, of Legion Events, wrote the following on the company's blog:

Carnival will reimburse flight change fees, and protect the price we had on the “old” cruise moving to the new one. You may have to pay a bit more if your flights to Galveston (Houston airport) are more expensive than they were to LA, but the change fees will be covered. Ashley will help facilitate all of that as best she can. In the letter there is mention of a 25% credit on a future cruise, but that won’t apply to us. That will only apply if you opt out of this cruise and want to rebook on a later cruise.
