It was Jon Smithers, a 23 year old student from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada who won the largest Canadian Grand Prix ever. Jon defeated the juggernaut, Brad Nelson, who rang up his fifth Top-8 of the 2010 year. Smithers had gone 10-0 on day 1 of the event, and rode that to a Top 8 and then battled to a Grand Prix victor.
