Today Wizards revealed the first quarter of 2012, unveiling the first Pro Tour stop as well as fifteen Grand Prix events jam packed in the first three months of 2012. Along with this announcement comes some changes to the structure for the Grand Prixes in terms of prize. Grand Prixes will now work on a scaling prize structure, rather than the fixed $30,000 prize pool which was used this year - the prize pool will now scale from $10,000 to $40,000 depending on turnout.

Pro Tour Honolulu - Feb. 10 - 12, 2012. - The event will be after the release of Dark Ascension, though the formats were not directly disclosed.

There are fifteen GPs announced for January through March of 2012, though they also conspicuously lack an announcement as to their formats. From Orlando to Kobe, Japan and Lincoln Nebraska to Turin Italy, next year - Magic is going to be big. Read the full announcement on Wizards.
