Wizards has signed a new deal with Stainless games, the company behind developing the wildly popular Xbox Live Arcade game, Duels of the Planeswalkers. This move comes as a surprise to no one given the game's continued success and the previously announced planes for further expansions to the game. We're very excited to see this partnership continue and blossom as the Xbox game does a great job drawing people into the game.

RENTON, Wash. - February 10, 2010 - Wizards of the Coast LLC, a subsidiary of Hasbro, Inc. (NYSE: HAS), today announced a new business deal signed with UK developer Stainless Games, Ltd. following the success of Magic: The Gathering – Duels of the Planeswalkers on Xbox LIVE Arcade.

Duels of the Planeswalkers continues to be one of the most downloaded games on Xbox LIVE Arcade, and has been a consistent Top 10 title since its launch in June 2009. Duels of the Planeswalkers lets players simulate the Magic: The Gathering Trading Card Game through an interactive digital experience. Players take on the role of a Planeswalker, a powerful wizard who battles others for glory, knowledge and conquest. Each Planeswalker has an arsenal of spells and creatures showcased by virtual cards. Players can either choose to battle against the computer or compete online against real life opponents using Microsoft’s Xbox LIVE service offerings.
