Hello happy burn and Commander aficionados! Happiest of days to you! I just recently knocked out my Top Commanders for this beloved Commander Archetype here - https://www.coolstuffinc.com/a/abesargent-01102025-the-top-burn-commanders-to-consider. Then I wanted to give you my top support cards outside of burn and Commanders for you to build around and add to your decks all up and down the block! Ready?

Honorable Mention #1 - Jaya Ballard

You want to make mana if you are here for your burn spells, right? Enter this planeswalker who is five mana but a rough triple red though for a 5-loyalty lady who can +1 to make three mana for ramping, but just for your instant/sorcery spells, so your burn stuff and dig stuff like Big Score. Then you can also +1 her to discard and draw up to three to dig herself! Don't sleep on her at all!

Honorable Mention #2 - Storm-Kiln Artist

Now each of your burn spells and other spells you cast? Make a Treasure for the ramping with this fun four-drop 2/2 Dwarf and then he also gets a power boost for your artifact count!

Honorable Mention #3 - Neheb, the Eternal

This five-drop mono-Red 4/6 legendary Zombie has afflict and then turns all life your foes have lost this turn into red mana equal to them in your post-combat phase for more burning mana making! Love that much with X Spells to just dump it all into something! Like Comet Storm or Jaya's Immolating Inferno!

Honorable Mention #4. - Niv-Mizzet, Parun

Hello Izzet fans! This six-drop Izzet spell cannot be countered! But that casting cost, boo! Flying and a 5/5 body though, yay! It turns drawing a card into shooting a target for a damage, like normal, and then when anyone casts that spell? You'll draw to ping and kill fast! Love him much in a support role in the 99 if you can cast that mana.

#5. Chandra, Hope's Beacon

Our highest scoring planeswalker is this top five lady! Her five loyalty comes from a six-cost. Then you can make a free copy of your first spell you cast each turn. Not your turn, but all of them. Then you can +2 her to make a pair of mana for anything and then +1 her to exile five and cast instants and sorceries from them, or you can -X to Blaze any two targets. Love her much here, or outside of Burn shells too!

#4. Radiant Scrollwielder

This four-mana gives all of your sorcery and instant spells lifelink. There is a Commander-eligible dork that does that but just for Red ones. Then in your upkeep you can exile one at random and cast it this turn, but for its mana cost. Not bad for your Lightning Bolt to gain you three life and then cast another time to gain another three life base here too! Love that recursion and lifelink here loads!

#3. Pestilent Spirit AND Judith, Carnage Connoisseur

The three-drop Spirit dork in Black 3/2 gives your spells deathtouch this time not lifelink, so a Shock will become a Murder! Then the Rakdos colored five-drop 3/4 lady has a Spellslinger trigger to give both lifelink from the last ability or the deathtouch from this one to combine in one! Or you can just make a 2/2 Red Imp token with the death ability to Shock your foes! Love her much in the 99 or leading it too all around the Arid Mesa!

#2. Guttersnipes

Our second-to-top spot is all of the cards that turn spells cast into damage to all foes I am calling Guttersnipe after the first one to shoot them all for 2 for each spell you cast in three mana 2/2 dork form. This is also in a harder to answer three mana enchantment called Fiery Inscription to shoot for two too! There are ways to turn non-creatures into burn instead, typically they'll do one damage, but the offspring one above will give you two bodies for two damage total for a wider version of triggers but the same damage total.

#1. Damage Multipliers

Ever since Furnace of Rath doubled all damage from everything and everyone to everything and everyone was commonly played in multiplayer, this format called Commander has been the home of damage doublers and now? Triplers! This slate is broken with burn since you are already aiming at people's face with stuff and now more! Some damage doublers are on legendary dorks like Gisela above and Solphim, Mayhem Dominus from last week. Love that loads to add your Lightning Bolt and Fireball!
