The Top Support Cards for Voltron in Commander

Hello awesome folks! I hope your day is going super mega well! Today I wanted to count down the top support cards for Commander's Archetype called "Voltron" where you try to combine different things like Auras and Equipment to win with one dork, ideally your Commander in one Commander damage hit. These are not Commanders but instead support cards. Ready?

Honorable Mention #1 - Rhythm of the Wild and other Haste Enablers

First up are the ones that give haste, ideally Rhythm if you are in Gruul colors since your dork will be uncounterable if you drop it first. Then you give your stuff riot so they can haste or grow. Getting in an extra turn off punchery with your Voltron stuff can kill a full turn faster and often as a surprise if cast from your hand and not the Command Zone. Shoutout to Swiftfoot Boots in any color to give haste and the ability to keep targeting your Commander or Voltron for one mana while also protection in the form of hexproof. Also Anger to give your team haste without being able to interact with it in your graveyard. Don't lean on Lightning Greaves too much since that shroud can trap you from targeting your Voltron stuff later.

Honorable Mention #2 - One Hit Wonders

The next are the equipment and auras that pump up a Commander to a one-hit Commander Damage kill but don't give evasion. The equipment costs two, equips legendaries the next turn for three or seven later for others, and then gives them a land sized +1/+1. That might not be enough to kill in one hit, but with a bigger evasive Commander that'll smash hard in land matters and elsewhere. The Aura costs a massive seven mana for a +20/+20 to kill in one hit, but taps the dork it enchants, so cast it post combat. It also has all of the weaknesses of Auras.

Honorable Mention #3. All That Glitters and Nettlecyst

Next are ways to amp up your dork's size by a huge amount based on your artifact and enchantment count. Since this is Voltron, you are going to be running both, so from Treasures to Clues to Rancor, there are many ways to amp this up powerfully. Note that like the last section these don't grant evasion, but they are so cheap...The common downshift from uncommon Aura in White costs just two mana. The Equipment costs three with living weapon and thus arrives as a nasty body and then you can equip fast to kill with a Commander in one hit! Also, a shout out to Saga flippable Michiko's Reign of Truth which has the first two chapters copying this pair and then flips to a win-con dork called Portrait of Michiko in this brew!

#5. Double Strike Givers

Next are those cards that give your attackers in masse or individually double strike. Kill twice as fast! Enchantments like True Conviction or Berserkers' Onslaught to attackers on your team. Instants that give it to one are nasty good out of nowhere since they cannot prepare, like Boros Charm or Temur Battle Rage to possibly give it trample too. Next are equipment that they'll see coming, but you can reequip like Fireshrieker or Lizard Blades, but Embercleave's flashability can make it a combat trick with it's auto equip. Then you can run a dork that gives it, like Rafiq of the Many's four-drop 3/3 legendary in Bant for what attacks alone.

#4. Damage Multiplyers

Next after double strike doubling your attacks, are those that double or triple all damage or increase your dork's size massively. The six-drop Fiery Emancipation is great at tripling all damage you'll deal to kill with a double strike Commander with as little as a base power of 4. (24 damage). The Growth in Green will double it's size in combat and then double strike to kill with a power of 6 for a one hit kill.

#3. Recursive Relentless Assaults

The best thing to do to close out the game fast is with an extra attack step like with Time Walk effects in Blue or Relentless Assaultss in Red. Ideally this will be a recursive one you can use and reuse like the five-mana activated ability in the three-drop enchantment called Aggravated Assault or when you attack with just one dork in the Bant enchantment of Finest Hour or the landfalling six drop mono-Red 6/6 beater that's also legendary or 99-able.

#2. Sublime Archangel with a shout out to Order of Sacred Dusk

Did you note that exalted was on two previous hitters in Bant colors? I hear you. There is a dork that gives exalted to all of your dorks. That four-drop 4/3 flying Angel which gives them to all for making your Commander or single swinger a huge boost for winning now. Then we have one that gives them to all Vampires for that Kindred type with convoke in Orzhov colors with an Akroma level of keywords, so that's a nice shout out,

Next are things that make a big fat dork or Commander actually hit in one turn without being blocked. Some will give most of your stuff unblockable like Trailblazer's Boots nonbasic landwalk or give you shroud to play havoc like Whispersilk Cloak. Ideally this will be a reusable permanent like the equipment of Silver Shroud Costume to just give shroud to protect flashing for that turn, or the hard to answer land Rogue's Passage. Cantrip spells can do it out of nowhere like Enter the Enigma but can only kill one player barring a Relentless Assault effect.
