Can Seth Manfield be stopped? The reigning World Champion just racked up a Pro Tour Top 8 and was up until the wee hours of Saturday morning getting his deck ready for Grand Prix New York. Apparently the late night session worked as the current top ranked player was able to navigate the field of over 2000 players to emerge victorious.
The Top 8 was full of talented players, including Mike Sigrist who went 15-0 in the Swiss rounds. Grand Prix Champions Michael Majors and Ralph Betesh also made the final rounds but in the end it was Seth Manfield and his White-Black Eldrazi deck that won the day.
Congratulations to Seth Manfield, your Grand Prix New York champion!
