Grand Prix Charlotte will not be forgotten anytime soon. One of two Modern Grand Prix taking place on the weekend of May 22nd, Day One of Grand Prix Charlotte will be remembered for an issue with pairings. A three hour delay due to corrupted tournament pairing software led many to drop and participate in side events. Due in part to issues with the software, Day Two began with over 600 competitors.

While Day One started differently than other tournaments it ended the same - with a Top 8. As has become tradition with Modern Grand Prix there were seven different archetypes represented at the final tables. In the end it was Jon Bolding and Naya Company against Andreas Ganz and Ad Nauseum Combo. Ganz's combo was better this Sunday and Andreas was able to take the title.
