Team East West Bowl has done it again. One week before Pro Tour Eldritch Moon the team full of talent placed two competitors in the Top 8 of Grand Prix Sydney: Scott Lipp and Seth Manfield. If Seth, the current World Champion, won the day, he would have forced Brian Braun-Duin out of the Grand Prix Master slot at the upcoming World Championships.
Except it was not to be as Lipp defeated his teammate in the Semi-Finals. As a result, Brian Braun-Duin is your 2016 Grand Prix Master and will be playing at PAX this September.
The rest of the Top 8, including Hall of Famer Ben Stark, long time pro Ben Seck, and up-and-comer Zen Takahashi, could not stop Team East West Bowl from claiming the day. In the end it was Lipp with a strong green and white deck who claimed victory over Jan Ksandr.
(Marc) Scott Lipp has won #GPSydney, defeating Jan Ksandr, 2-1!
