The 2016-17 Pro Tour Season is underway! Kicking off with Grand Prix Rimini, just under 900 players showed up to try their hand at Standard in the wake of Pro Tour Eldritch Moon. After two days of competition only 8 players remained. Bant Company had a reversal of fortune in the Grand Prix with a stunning 75% of the Top 8 piloting a deck with Collected Company, including Hall of Famer Shota Yasooka who found space for Elder Deep-Fiend. The only other archetype represented was Fevered Visions Burn, including a copy piloted by recent Pro Tour Champion Lukas Blohon.
The day ended with a Bant Company mirror match and Arne Huschenbeth taking the title over Petr Soch?rek. Congratulations Arne - your Grand Prix Rimini Champion!
