At Pro Tour Ixalan, Two Time World Champion Shahar Shenhar sat down at the Hall of Fame induction dinner. Hearing Josh Utter-Leyton and Martin Juza describe their journey lit a fire in Shenhar, one that needed some rekindling. He promptly put up a 12-4 finish at the Pro Tour.
But one good finish does not a comeback make. A win at Grand Prix Portland, however, could signal that the wunderkind is back. Shahar took Temur Energy to second place in the Swiss before winning every round in the Top 8. As was the case a few years ago, Shenhar is a master of known formats and his victory at Portland was his fourth Grand Prix title. And the season is just getting started.
Congratulations to #GPPortland Champion Shahar Shenhar! He took down a field of 1,700, defeating Ramunap Red in the finals, to take the trophy. pic.twitter.com/BQxhXJSant
