As 2016 draws to a close it appears that Kaladesh standard has a new wrinkle. Aetherworks Marvel, a much hyped card, had a day in the sun at Grand Prix Madrid. Four of the Top 8 competitors decided that they wanted to spin the energy wheel and in the end Carmine D'Aniello came out on top. D'Aniello defeated Pro Tour Top 8 competitor Marco Cammilluzzi in a semi-finals mirror match before dispatching Nicolas Legendre's Black-Red Aggro in the finals.
