If there going to give you a Magic card for winning the World Championship, it might as well be good right?
Duelist of the Mind is Nathan Steuer's card for winning the 2022 World Championship, and it's a nice one! Cheap is the name of the game here, as Duelist of the Mind is attacking as early as turn three, and considering that drawing cards is the best thing you can do in Magic anyway, is poised to attack for a lot.
Now if only there was a way to grow him permanently in an already up and coming deck...

Proft's Eidetic Memory is an awesome card from Murders at Karlov Manor that was just starting to make a splash before Outlaws of Thunder Junction came out, and Duelist of the Mind slots in perfectly.
Proft's Eidetic Memory allows you to turn all of these drawn cards into size, and Duelist of the Mind joins cards like Steamcore Scholar and Ledger Shredder which were already excellent in the deck. The flying and vigilance bodies are perfect here for wearing the counters, letting this deck play a solid midrange game that can also get way out of hand if left unchecked.
Throw in a few more new cards like Geralf, the Fleshwright as well as Black format staples like Go for the Throat and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, and you've got quite a deck!
