When a new set comes out, it's always exciting to flock to the new themes or mechanics and start building decks from scratch. However, it can be very rewarding to revisit archetypes you thought were very close in the prior format (especially if there's been a rotation) and see if they've gotten any upgrades.
This means my love affair with Nexus of Becoming can continue!

This deck is an artifact-based control/combo deck, looking to get Portal to Phyrexia onto the battlefield as often as possible.
The most basic way is to discard it to either Collector's Vault or Fomori Vault, and then return it with Invasion of Tolvada // The Broken Sky, but secretly the most exciting card in the deck is one of my favorite cards, Nexus of Becoming. Nexus can put Portal to Phyrexia right into play as a 3/3, and is unique among "cheat into play" type cards because it actually just draws you a card every turn too.
The new Bloomburrow cards slot in perfectly here as well.
Builder's Talent provides early defense as well as another way to return Portal to Phyrexia or Nexus of Becoming from the graveyard to the battlefield, and can also dole out counters for your Phyrexia Fleshgorger or Threefold Thunderhulk. Beza, the Bounding Spring is an awesome way to keep yourself alive, giving you life and blockers in a manner that isn't dead against control decks. It's also great to discard to Nexus of Becoming.
While it's not quite all the way there yet, this deck is doing a bunch of very exciting and unique things!
