It's not often that a bunch of cards from a new Standard set make an impact on Pioneer, but when you've got an ability like valiant that is already pretty close to another playable ability in heroic, and also just plays naturally well with effects you'd want to play anyway, you've got a winner!
There's no doubt that Heartfire Hero and Emberheart Challenger are awesome aggressive Magic cards, hitting hard with a lot of upside, but it's actually an obscure Wilds of Eldraine uncommon that really puts things over the top.

Magic Online player Hamuda took this deck to first place finish in a recent weekend Challenge, going the full undefeated 10-0 along the way! The Red aggressive shell is already a proven one, and the Black cards do a ton to both up the speed of the deck as well as increase its resilience.
Callous Sell-Sword, or more aptly Burn Together, is a cheap and powerful finisher that makes the deck a whole turn faster and can provide for a bunch of turn three kills. It's extra nice that the sacrifice is not part of the cost, meaning you can pick up your prowess triggers and also don't lose the creature if it gets countered. On the other half of the coin is Claim // Fame, which is a great way to bring back a creature with extra value of another spell and haste.
Throw in a sideboard of two of the best interactive spells in the entire format, and you've got a deck that is fast, resilient, and interactive, which is exactly the trifecta you need to succeed in Pioneer!
