When you mix two things together, your goal is often to get the best of both worths.
Golgari Midrange is a solid deck, one that is very good at beating aggressive decks and other creature decks, but struggles against decks looking to go over the top. Domain Ramp is a powerful deck with an excellent late game, but struggles against aggressive decks with early threats backed by interaction.
Golgari Ramp looks to mix the two, drawing from each other's strengths while shoring up their weaknesses.

This deck, which was built by Seth Manfield and played by my team at the World Championship a few weeks ago, does just that.
Like Domain Ramp, Golgari Ramp relies heavily on the combination of Up the Beanstalk and Overlord of the Hauntwoods. Up the Beanstalk provides a steady stream of card advantage than can be insurmountable in longer games, while Overlord of the Hauntwoods obviously triggers Up the Beanstalk, but also provides you with a sizable mana advantage as the game goes on.
This mana advantage of course can be funneled into your big spells like Virtue of Persistence or Outrageous Robbery, but also has a ton to do with your excellent utility lands. Restless Cottage is by far the best of the restless creature lands, while Fountainport is an engine unto itself. You can sacrifice the food tokens from Restless Cottage or even the Everywhere tokens from Overlord of the Hauntwoods, as well as making your own tokens.
Mixing this powerful engine with the efficient and deadly removal and threats of the Golgari Midrange deck gives you excellent game against creature decks and aggressive decks, letting you kill things quickly and efficiently to stay alive while your late game cards come online. Deadly Cover-Up provides you with a sweeper as needed against the go wide decks, but also really shines against slower decks to remove their win conditions and important cards.
If you're a fan of either deck, this one is a natural fit!
