Like cascade before it, discover is supposed to be a random bit of card advantage. Cast a spell, get another random spell that costs less.
However, also like cascade before it, we've seen that clever deck-building can get around this restriction!

I made a few small changes, but this clever list comes from Magic Online player ilikecookies, who took it to 7th place in a recent Magic Online Standard Challenge.
By building the deck in a manner where Imodane's Recruiter (and Etali's Favor, which will restart the chain anyway) is the only card with a printed mana value of three or less, every time you fire off a discover effect you've got a great chance of going down the chain and ending up with a bunch of extra bodies in play and an Imodane's Recruiter to top it off and give them all haste.
Quintorius Kand is especially impressive here, as it can start a discover chain but also drains for two for each time you do discover, while also being a solid threat of it's own.
The deck played out surprisingly well, and although it may need a little tuning to the removal suite it's just another awesome and innovative deck in an excellent Standard format!
