Tasty Three-Color Decks for Wilds of Eldraine Standard

Reddit

Hello everyone. Last week I looked at some two-color decks featuring cards from Wilds of Eldraine. This week, I'll be adding another color to the mix and looking at some three-color decks. Let's get started with the first deck.

Bant Tamiyo's Mice Infinite Combo

First, I have a deck for you that I've seen a ton of times while playing Magic Arena. Let's take a look at the deck.

Three Blind Mice
At its heart, this is a control deck. You'll keep your opponent's side of the battlefield under control by destroying their smaller threats with spells such as Elspeth's Smite and Soul Partition. For their bigger threats, you can destroy them with Fateful Absence, or counter them before they hit the battlefield by playing Make Disappear. There are also board wipes, like Depopulate and Sunfall, that you can use to completely clear the battlefield. You can then concentrate on putting the pieces of the combo into play.

The combo I'm referring to is Three Blind Mice and Tamiyo, Compleated Sage. The goal is to get a copy of Three Blind Mice into your graveyard, where a copy of it can then be created with the use of Tamiyo's -X loyalty ability. Once you have a copy of Three Blind Mice on the battlefield, you can create an additional copy of it with chapter two and three of Three Blind Mice. Doing this will create an army of 1/1 Mouse creatures that you can use to overwhelm your opponent. Most of the time, though, your opponent will likely concede once you have the combo in place and they realize they cannot stop it.

Sultai Self Mill

Next, I have a deck for you that gains value from all of the cards that have been placed into its graveyard. Let's check it out.

Cruel Somnophage
The objective of this deck is to mill your own cards into your graveyard. By doing this, you'll be able to make Cruel Somnophage into a massive attacker, since its power and toughness are each equal to the number of creature cards in all graveyards. By getting creatures into your own graveyard, you'll also boost the power and toughness of Urborg Lhurgoyf, as well.

When you mill your deck, you can't be sure that you'll only mill creature cards. You're likely to mill some land cards while milling, but this deck has a plan for when that happens. Slogurk, the Overslime gains +1/+1 counters whenever lands are put into your graveyard from anywhere. You can also use those counters to protect Slogurk when it gets targeted by your opponent's removal spells. You can also gain additional life when lands go to your graveyard if you have Titania, Voice of Gaea in play, plus there's the potential to meld into Titania, Gaea Incarnate.

Temur Evasive Otter Aggro

The next deck I have for you features a pair of Otters that can quickly bring games to an end. Let's take a look at the deck.

Elusive Otter
Frolicking Familiar

At first glance, Elusive Otter doesn't look that threatening. It's just a 1/1 creature with prowess. However, it can't be blocked by creatures that have less power than it has. Since there are a variety of spells currently in Standard that boost a creature's power, targeting Elusive Otter with those can turn this small, unassuming creature into a powerhouse attacker. For a single Green mana, you can cast Giant Growth, which will turn Elusive Otter into a 5/5 creature that your opponent might not be able to block. Because of this, you can end games in a hurry.

This deck also features another Otter, who is also able to deal a lot of damage very quickly. Frolicking Familiar is a 2/2 with flying. It also gets a +1/+1 bonus for the turn whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell. This deck does its best to take advantage of that ability by including 21 instant or sorcery spells. To use the same example as before, if you attack with a Frolicking Familiar that has Giant Growth cast upon it, it will be a 6/6 creature with flying. While it's not unblockable, your opponent might be hard-pressed to block it repeatedly.

Jeskai Ultimate Superfriends

The final deck I have for you features seven different planeswalkers using their abilities to defeat your opponent quickly and efficiently. Let's take a look at the deck.

For being a guy who loves to play aggressive decks, I sure do find control decks like this interesting. Whether you're countering the spells your opponent has cast with Reject Imperfection, or keeping the number of creatures your opponent has on the battlefield in check with spells like Fires of Victory, you'll be the one to determine the pace of the game.

Teferi, Temporal Pilgrim will often be your means of finishing off your opponent. By using his -2 loyalty ability, you'll create a 2/2 Spirit creature token with vigilance that will gain a +1/+1 counter whenever you draw a card. Since you'll often be drawing extra cards with the help of The Celestus and the emblem that Teferi, Who Slows the Sunset can create, those Spirit tokens can grow quite large. Since they have vigilance, they also act as great defenders as well as potent attackers.

Wrapping Up

Whether you prefer two-color or three-color decks, Wilds of Eldraine has you covered. I'll be back again next week with another batch of two-color decks that you can use on Magic Arena, at your local game store, or against your friends in the comfort of your own home.

What do you think of these decks? Feel free to share this article with your friends anywhere on social media. And be sure to join me here again next week as I continue my search for innovative decks in Standard. I'll see you then!
