More details for the Magic Board Game emerged today in an article for IGN.com.

First the game will be known as Magic the Gathering: Arena of the Planeswalkers. Second, we've learned the identity of the white aligned Planeswalker:

Gideon Jura will be the fifth player character available. This seems to tie the board game to the release of Magic Origins. Arena of the Planeswalkers will see a limited release in June and a wider release in August of this year.
