Just over 800 players showed up to battle with Fate Reforged infused Standard decks at Grand Prix Seville. A scant 90 players came back for day two and shortly thereafter only eight remained including Martin J?za in his astounding 22nd Grand Prix Top 8.

At the end of Sunday only two remained: Pierre Sommen with Abzan Aggro and Immannuel Gerschenson with Blue-Black Control. Sommen took the first game with an aggressive start. Game two ground to a halt while Gerschenson's Ugin, the Spirit Dragon took over. Game three was lopsided as Sommen was stalled on land while Gerschenson was able to develop his board and start playing game-altering Planeswalkers. Eventually Pearl Lake Ancient hit the table and Sommen offered the hand.
