Grand Prix Kobe's top 8 showcased the twists and turns of the Modern format, as two relative unknowns made it to the finals with unexpected decklists. The finals had Teruya Kakumae's Boros Burn deck defeating Yuusei Gotou's "No Affinity" Artifact deck in three games, one which ended on turn three.
