MagicCon Chicago Happening Now

MagicCon Chicago 2025 is happening this weekend! The McCormick Place Lakeside Center is being taken over by all kinds of Magic: The Gathering gameplay, events, artists, cosplayers, panels, community events, and more. In addition, this time there's an extra focus on Dungeons & Dragons, Wizards of the Coast's other property to showcase that game in addition to the main event with Magic.
Speaking of main events, the event this weekend is playing home to the Pro Tour. You can check out this event right now by watching it on Twitch and catch all the outstanding Standard gameplay as players attempt to break it with the latest Aetherdrift cards. Who will take home the trophy? You'll just have to tune in and watch for yourself!
A Huge Week Of Previews
This week has seen a whole host of previews and first looks. First off, we started out on Monday and Tuesday with the showcasing of the first cards for Magic: The Gathering - Final Fantasy that left players everywhere extremely hyped. Then, just earlier today, we were treated to even more previews, showing us cards and product details for sets like Tarkir: Dragonstorm and Edge of Eternities. For all the details on both, be sure to check out my additional write-ups here:

Domain is back with a vengeance! In the wake of decks like Gruul Prowess and Dimir Midrange dominating the field, Domain remained a strong option but struggled a bit against several of the metagame's top decks. Now with the rise of Esper Pixie, however, the deck is showing up quite a bit more thanks to having a good matchup against Pixie. This has led to Domain making a large showing with 15.2% of the metagame at this weekend's Pro Tour. Will it take home the gold? Tune in and find out for yourself!
