Magic: the Gathering Netflix Series Officially Canceled
After several years of reportedly being in the works, the long-awaited MTG animated series on Netflix seems to be officially canceled. Collider reported on Tuesday that Brandon Routh, who was set to star as Gideon, revealed the show was no longer happening. The show was originally announced in 2019, however as the years have gone on, very little has surfaced with regards to the show itself. Usually, the only news that would come about was during Hasbro investor calls where it would briefly be mentioned that the show was still in the works.

This campaign is set to benefit the American Cancer Society and will showcase Magic gameplay of all levels while raising money for a good cause. Check out the streams going on into the weekend and donate some money to a good cause.
Magic Summit Canceled For 2024
Over the past few years, one of the larger events that has come about within the Magic content sphere has been the popular Magic Summit event. This week, however, the team behind the event announced that they would be canceling the event for 2024. Their announcement cited that their ticket sales weren't enough to cover the costs needed to run the event and that they would be providing refunds to those who had already bought tickets. They note at the end that they're unsure if an event will be possible in the future, and thank those who took part in their events over the past years.

If you've played the Explorer format on MTG Arena - the equivalent to Pioneer lacking a few key cards - chances are you've run into your fair share of Selesnya Angels decks. Despite the fact that players can't seem to get enough of the deck on Arena, the deck hadn't been performing very well in serious tournaments for some time. With the recent bans from Rakdos Vampires and Amalia Combo, the deck is seeing quite a comeback and is showing up quite a bit in event results as of late. Additionally, there's a lot of speculation that the upcoming Leyline of Hope in Duskmourn: House of Horror pushes it to new heights. If you're looking for a solid deck to pick up and play, give this one a shot.
