Shimmering Skies Full Release

Today is the full release of Disney Lorcana's latest expansion, Shimmering Skies. By now, there's a good chance you've already experienced the set so far through your local hobby shops, where Shimmering Skies was released two weeks early. With more access to product, there's bound to be more players getting their decks ready for the latest changes to the meta. For those of you who have already purchased some sealed product, you can fill in the gaps of your missing single here at CoolStuffInc.

Disney Lorcana Challenge: Toronto Kicks Off Today

Disney Lorcana Challenge Toronto starts this weekend, which means players from across the globe gather together for coveted prizing. Players can pick up their badges early today between the hours of 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM and earn a new early check-in promo, Kristoff - Reindeer Keeper.

The main event starts at 9:00 AM on Saturday, and is expected to go all 9 rounds, with a 1 hour break for lunch. Players who make it to day 2 are expected to be ready to compete at 8:00 AM on Sunday. For those of you who aren't competing in the main event, you have the ability to participate in side events both days. Make sure you're registering ahead of time to avoid any confusion. On-demand events will be running as well, so you can pace out your play throughout the weekend. More details can be found here.

Shimmering Skies Set Championships Dates Revealed

Shimmering Skies Set Championships are due to begin in October, and can be scheduled through approved stores on any Saturday or Sunday. Depending on your region, you may see some overlapping of stores since we're limited to four weekends. Thankfully, Top 8 gets a promo card, instead of the previous Top 4, so you might not have to compete as much if you're only going for the card. Mats remain the same though, so Top 2 get a champion and non-champion mat, respectively.

Ravensburger Celebrates Disney Lorcana's 1st Anniversary

August 18th was Disney Lorcana's 1st anniversary, and I couldn't be more excited. With 5 sets under our belt already, Ravensburger has committed to many more. It's great to see such confidence in not only the creators of the game, but the community as well. These two components clearly go hand in hand. What are some of your fondest memories when starting Disney Lorcana? I remember purchasing the Ruby and Emerald deck, and throwing a bunch of Evasive characters in it, and calling it a day!

Disney Lorcana Challenge: Seattle Tickets on Sale August 26th

Disney Lorcana Challenge Seattle is the 6th and final challenge this year before continentals start. This is possibly the last chance for competitors to aim for an invite to this years continental competition, and ultimately worlds as well. Tickets sell out fast, so make sure you have your calendar marked and ready to go. You can purchase your ticket here. Attendees can register here as well.

A Wide Meta Foundation

As expected, Shimmering Skies shakes things up and introduces enough cards to actually disrupt the meta right out the gate. We're seeing ink pairings never seen before and I couldn't be any happier. As we see more cards added to the pool, it's bound to happen. Stay tuned for updated deck lists of things you may and also may not be familiar with!
