Grand Prix Denver had nearly 900 competitors in its main event, at the end of which were an impressive array of players in its Top 8. Gaudenis Vidugiris defeated Martin Juza in the finals at 2-1.
The top eight had a number of great stories, such as Brian Kibler, who battled illness the entire weekend to battle his way to the Top 8 table. Paul Cheon, who has been retired since 2008–2009, returned to the tables in Denver and looked to be the monster he always has been as he too made his way to the Top 8. Gaudenis Vidugiris, Martin Juza, and Owen Turtlewald are three other well-known Magic players sitting at the final draft table. These five Pro competitors are joined by James Zornes, Thomas Pannell, and Eduardo Dos Santos Vieira.
