MTG Dogs, we are back again for the fifth consecutive year.

What is MTG Dogs?

March Madness is the NCAA basketball bracket for the national championship, complete with the #1-#16 seeds battling it out in a single elimination tournament.

Magic Twitter, a community of content creators, personalities, influencers, pros and the everyplayer, take part in simple A/B Twitter polls on which dog they would like to move on, and over the course of the multi-day tournament, a dog wins.

Entrants have fun with their submissions, like the "expert" photoshopping skills from@defbyte:

Submissions start early, getting dogs noticed to get into the field, or on the bubble like @Travis_Norman:

Obvious internet favorite corgis, dachshunds, all things doodle, and shibes often find their way into the tournament for deep runs. All dogs are welcome, while not all make it in.

2021 will have a few rules in place that differ from previous years:

1. It must actually be your dog.
2. It must be an actual dog, not just an animal named dog.
3. You have to have an active Twitter account.
4. Sorry 10,000+ Twitter follower people, data is skewed too much by you, you got bumped up a class to NDA - National Dog Association. This is for the amateurs.
5. My own dogs aren't able to compete, and as such, will be on the commentating team.
6. The choosing of dogs, the selection committee, is now a full five members, combined of past competition owners, outside counsel and professional dog enthusiasts.
7. There are many, many tweets involved in this. Use #mtgdogs in all tweets, to help people both opt in or out as they see fit.

First place will win a sealed booster box of Magic Core 2021 (The dog set), sponsored by Cool Stuff Inc. (or store credit equivalent for non-US residents, ideally spent on dog cards.)

They also win bragging rights for the entire year.

Second place will win, per usual, a copy of every dog common, and a few extras.

Choose your dog, write down their quality wins and upsets over top rated puppies or oversized sticks, their strength of schedule, and, submit here.

Selection Sunday is March 21, with all submissions needing to be in by Saturday, March 20.
