Tulip Bubble is a light stock holding / commodity speculation game based on the Tulipmania economic bubble of 1636-37. Players are Dutch merchants that are speculating on the soaring tulip market, and sometimes selling rare tulips to collectors that are willing to buy at a markup above the market price.
If more than 1 player wants to buy the same tulip from the market then an auction will occur, and the price premium will be awarded to the losing participants of the auction. When you buy a tulip, you can also choose to finance the purchase without paying money (this is Margin Buying). At the end of each round, prices of different colored tulips will be adjusted according to the amount of unsold tulips on the table.
The game lasts for 7-9 rounds, and ends immediately when the ?Bubble Crash? event card is drawn at the start of the round. All unsold tulips will be worth $0, financed tulips will be turn into debt and the winner will be the player who has the most cash left.
