Is Magic: The Gathering still growing? When Aaron Forsythe shared that Magic had "another great year of growth" it wasn't clear if it was still the gangbusters double-digit numbers we've heard over the past few years.
Monday's earning reporting from Hasbro cleared the air that Magic had grown more than 20% in 2013, with Wizards of the Coast's all-in growth at 23%.
It's important to note that last year also saw the release of five expansion sets (Gatecrash, Dragon's Maze, Magic 2014, Modern Masters, and Theros) as well as the introduction of annual updates to the stand-alone Commander decks and typical Duel Decks series releases. If regular releases spread throughout the year continue to be tied to successful years, the constant flow of new products won't slow down anytime soon.
