Today we got our first details about the 2017 edition of the Commander product. Coming to stores August 26th and featuring 56 cards legal in Vintage and Legacy, these four decks will be based around popular Magic tribes.

For the first time the Commander product will not include five different decks. What are the four tribes represented? Elves and Goblins are the most likely inclusions with Zombies a popular choice as well. Will Merfolk get the fourth slot? Will White's lack of a characteristic tribe relegate it to a support color? Speaking of which, how will the color balance work? These questions will be answered as we approach August 25th.
