The Magic World Championship was this past weekend and it was cool and all but the deck that really stood out for me was Alexey's Paulot's Simic combo deck. I'm a lover of all things Simic but this was also such a wild deck and Alexey took it to a 9th-place finish. So close to a Top 8, but still a great run, nonetheless.
This deck is the hardest deck I've played in Standard but it super powerful even though it doesn't look it. You can literally just win out of nowhere. Be warned though that playing it online is a bit rough because of the way the MTG Arena timer works. It is a great deck, however, to play in paper and quickly has become my favorite deck to play in Standard.
