Dredge is one of those decks that is often down but never out.
It's seen numerous bans (and re-bans!) over the years, but in fitting fashion always finds a way to rise from the grave and do some damage.
With Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer and various Wrenn and Six decks running wild in Modern at the moment, it's a great time to Darkblast the former and completely ignore the latter!

Dredge master Sodeq recently took this deck to 2nd place in the Magic Online Modern Challenge, and after playing it myself both on stream and off to a 4-1 and 5-0 in MTGO Leagues I've locked it in for SCGCON (which will be last weekend for all you fine folks, hopefully I won!).
This list is super clean, forgoing any sort of Life from the Loam and Conflagrate fueled longer game plan with the sole purpose of just doing its thing as consistently as possible every game. Thrilling Discovery giving you extra copies of Cathartic Reunion is awesome, while Otherworldly Gaze and even Tomb Scour get you set up for that big turn two. And rounding it all out is the extremely powerful Ox of Agonas, which ensures turn three is a great one! The five color lands make sure you can cast your spells early and often, but also open up White in the sideboard for cards like Prismatic Ending and Wear // Tear to help deal with a variety of hate cards.
Keep that graveyard nice and organized, mulligan aggressively, and make your opponent regret shaving down on those graveyard hate cards!
