Discard decks have always been extremely popular in casual play, but aside from Tom Ross occasionally playing 8-Rack in Modern they have never really made the jump to competitive play. Sure, cards like Thoughtseize, Duress, and Hymn to Tourach are staples in the formats they are legal in, but they're always just part of a disruption package and not a major theme.
Well, it's about to get wild in Historic with a pair of 2-drop discard enablers that pay you off handsomely for getting your opponent to discard cards!

I've been playing this deck a ton whenever I can grab a match on my phone (outside my usual content) and it's been one of the most enjoyable decks I've played in a long time. Unfortunately, the matchups in the video were a bit awkward, but the deck does a fantastic job utilizing the discard synergies and hating on graveyards!
There's no doubting the power level of Inquisition of Kozilek and Thoughtseize, but joining them are the digital only all-star Undercity Plunder and the excellent Go Blank. These cards help to disrupt your opponent, but also provide big advantages alongside your enablers in Tinybones and Waste Not. These discard spells are often cantrips which is excellent and leads you into your midgame.
Rankle, Master of Pranks is quietly the best card in the deck, because it helps mitigate one of the biggest problem pure discard decks have - your opponent is out of cards to discard so your cards don't do anything! Rankle can give both players a card, and then you can immediately use a discard spell to remove that card while getting to use the one you've got. Liliana, Waker of the Dead plays perfectly with this plan and as removal, while once both players are empty handed Castle Locthwain is ready to take over.
With ample graveyard hate to hit the majority of the top decks in the format and a good mix of power and synergy, this deck is a blast!
