There's something to be said about having one job and doing it well.
Well, that's today's Pioneer deck! No fancy combos, no counting Nyxthos mana, untapping Lotus Field, or figuring out what to delve to Treasure Cruise. This deck plays one way, the Gyruda way!

The idea is simple; step one is to cast Gyruda, Doom of Depths.
Step two is to hit either another Gyruda or one of your clone effects so you can trigger Gyruda once more and go again. Ideally you are using Spark Double to non-legendary copy or Wispweaver Angel to flicker so you aren't just losing the Gyruda, but you can find those eventually either way.
Step three is to eventually hit Dragonlord Kolaghan and then give everything haste and attack for lethal. However, step three isn't really necessary per say. If you do nothing more than put a 6/6 Gyruda, a 7/7 Gyruda copy, and a 4/4 Wispweaver Angel into play on turn four or five that's also usually going to be good enough to swing the game either way.
To do this ahead of schedule we've got a whopping 14 2-drop accelerators on a classic 2-4-6 curve. Getting to companion Gyruda is also very nice for those games you draw all mana and no payoff. And of course, the best part is when you're just defensively casting clones in the midgame as you buy time to find and cast Gyruda.
With a big finish as well as bunch of fun in the midgame and pretty good sideboard options, Simic Gyruda goes to show that you don't need to be complicated to win.
