Not every brew gets there.
The Magic World Championship was last weekend, and if you followed the event you'd know that half of my team, including myself, played a Golgari Ramp deck that Seth Manfield took all the way to Top 4 of the event.
While I'll be playing that deck in next Monday's video, this week I've got a deck that was doing well in our testing process but ultimately didn't end up being our choice for the event, Boros Auras!

This deck does a lot of things right.
Like Gruul Mice or Mono-Red Prowess, it's doing the whole Emberheart Challenger and Heartfire Hero thing that is proven to kill opponents very quickly. However, it chooses auras like the amazing Sheltered by Ghosts and Ethereal Armor for its augmentation spells rather than pump spells, giving it more interaction as well as a lifelink edge in the mirror.
This deck won a lot of matches for me in testing, and while it ultimately wasn't our choice for the event, it's still a fast and powerful choice for Standard right now!
