Magic: The Gathering has two artworks up for Spectrum awards in two different categories, just announced on Muddy Colors.
Under the institutional category, Magic swept the nominations last year, with Tyler Jacobson’s Exalted Angel winning for best art for a company usages last year. This year, Wesley Burt’s Accursed Witch is the sole nomination up for the Gold or Silver award in the category.
New this year is that a Magic work, Broken Concentration by Clint Cearley, was included under the editorial category, which is uncommon for card art to be included under.
