The end of Theros Standard came, and the format's maturity was on display: two Mono-Black Devotion decks, and three each of U/W Control and Mono-Blue Devotion decks filled the Top 8. While longtime card players Peter Sundholm put on a powerful display with Thassa, God of the Sea and her minions, it was Alexander Hayne's skill through a tough semifinal match against teammate Jon Stern and an Archangel of Thune-filled finals that brought him victory.
