Modern Horizons 3 Previews Conclude
As of today, the official card image gallery for Modern Horizons 3 is complete and with it preview season is once again over! The early part of the week wrapped up the main set with powerful cards such as Recruiter of the Guard, Consign to Memory, and Vexing Bauble catching lots of players' attention.
The remainder of the week was focused firmly on the set's four Commander decks, utilizing a bunch of interesting and arguably underrepresented themes. Fun new cards like Copy Land, Mutated Cultist, and Tarmogoyf Nest caught a lot of players' attention, as did the multitude of awesome reprints capable of being included with a set like this.
If you'd like to check out the full Commander decklists, you can find them over here on Wizards' website. If you'd like to see a complete visual spoiler of each of the cards associated with the set, from main cards to variants to Commander, you can check out the official Card Image Gallery. Alternatively, check out the CoolStuffInc Modern Horizons 3 page where you can not only look at all the cards but pick up anything that catches your interest from the set as well.
Sights Set On Cranial Ram
Yes, this is the Pauper card. We're planning to give it a very short leash, given similarity to Cranial Plating and All That Glitters.

How long would you want to see the card be legal before we decide on if it needs a ban? Weeks? Days? A preban? Let me know! #wotcstaff pic.twitter.com/9UaeyiWbmP
Last Friday, Gavin Verhey revealed that the common card from Modern Horizons 3 that's firmly on the Pauper watchlist is Cranial Ram. This extremely powerful common bears a striking similarity to both Cranial Plating and All That Glitters - both of which are banned in the format already - and many players are expecting the ban to be a "when" not an "if." The Pauper Format Panel - of which I will note I am a member of - are watching this card very closely and will determine very swiftly if and when any action needs to be taken against the card.
MTG Arena Brawl Matchmaking Figured Out?
Over the past week, numerous resources and discussions among the MTG Arena community noted something interesting. They figured out that every card on the client has a weighted point amount for the Brawl format which leads to you being put up against players who are piloting similarly weighted lists. I admit, there's a little more going on here than I'm willing to wrap my head around, but I'd recommend you check out the following links for more info if you're interested.

This past weekend saw five Regional Champions take place all over the world. Two were won by Esper Midrange, two more by Four-Color Legends (aka Slogurk), and one more was won by Azorius Control. Here, I'd like to highlight one of the two Legends lists, primarily because it was noted as having the strongest winrate of the weekend on multiple metrics. The deck is notoriously difficult to pilot, but is one that players heading to Dallas this weekend need to make sure they're prepared for. If you're looking for a challenging deck to play, this one is intense as it gets. Try it out if you dare!
