We’re looking for up-and-coming, cool, hip, successful, motivated and intellectual writers to join our writing staff! That’s not too much to ask is it? No we didn’t think so either.

ManaNation Pays You to Write

We offer $20 store credit for most articles, if it is an exceptionally well written or in depth piece rates can go higher. Tournament reports of top 32s for GPs or higher, also have a negotiable rate!

If your writing is of high quality and received well then we may be interested in bringing you on as a staff writer!

Required Format for Articles

At the VERY top of your file (as part of the header is ideal), include these three things: Your Name, Your Email, your suggested Article Title (if you have one.) Do not style these in any way, they are for our internal use and will not appear in the published article. This is a requirement, if the name and email are missing, your article is much more likely to get rejected. See the templates below to help you be sure you’re doing it correctly.

To help some of you with the proper formatting of your article for submission, please see the below documents. They are all the exact same file, just presented in three different formats for easy use and adaptation.

Various Formatting Notes:

If you’re submitting a deck along with your article, have it listed in a simple easy to read vertical listing in the article.

Please do not double space your article.

Please do not indent paragraphs.

MTG Related Notes for Writers

Card names are proper nouns, please capitalize them. The same goes for card nicknames.

The spelling of card names is very important. Please be sure you have spelled card names correctly.

When representing mana symbols within the text of an article, use curly braces around a capital letter. For example “{B}” is

Multi-part articles

We do not publish any multi-part articles without having all parts in our possession. Too many times we’ve had someone submit a “Part 1″ only to never have a “Part 2.” So now if you plan to run a multi-part article we will require them all to be submitted together.
