Effective starting at Pro Tour Oath of Gatewatch, all Top 8 matches at the Pro Tour will return to being best-of-five. Since February 2014, the quarterfinals and semifinals had been best-of-three.

In order to facilitate viewing, two quarterfinal matches will take place concurrently. One match will be the "primary" with the other receiving updates during cutaways. Once a player has two wins, that match will be held until all games can be shown on camera.

The semifinals and finals will be shown in their best-of-five entirety.
