As the calendar approaches its end the Magic world is preparing to say hello to the World Magic Cup. Grand Prix Kobe, the last Standard Grand Prix before the Cup, is in the books. Despite a dominant showing of Abzan on Day 2, there were seven different archetypes in the Top 8.
The finals came down to 2005 Japanese National Champion Takuma Morofuji and his Atarka Red up against Malaysia's Joe Soh and his take on Black-White Warriors. Morofuji's tokens proved superior as he quickly won the finals two games to none.
Congratulations to Takuma Morofuji, your Grand Prix Kobe champion! For more coverage on Grand Prix Kobe, click here.
