Welcome back everyone! Today we are playing a Dimir control and we are playing the best merfolk around, Svyelun of Sea and Sky! Does that make it a merfolk deck? Well, if it does, then it's definitely the best merfolk deck in Historic because as of writing this, I have over an 80% win rate with this deck in Historic.
If you want to see even more matches with the deck, I highly recommend you follow my personal YouTube channel and/or my Twitch channel.
Let us go ahead and look at the decklist!

This list is by Plasmodermic. They were number one on the Historic ladder for December. The deck is very impressive and has obviously been tuned to the metagame. Svyelun never gains indestructible, but she is a 3/4 for three mana that draws a card when she attacks. Because of her big butt she is great at blocking and dodges Lightning Helix and other similar three damage spells. She doesn't even need to connect in order to draw a card, it just happens when she attacks. She is backed up by God Eternal, Kefnet and Shark Typhoon as win conditions. Of course, you also have the creature lands and a bunch of utility lands in the deck too. This really is the best Dimir Control deck I have played in a long time and I highly recommend checking out some game play with it or trying it out for yourself!
That's it for today, thanks for reading/watching!
