Jund 'em out! That's what I always heard my friend Joseph say. He loved playing Jund midrange in Modern until it was basically unplayable. Honestly, even then he tried to play it. Today's video and deck is for him! I'm known to brew combo, toolbox, and control decks, not really aggro and midrange, but I wanted to give Jund a whirl. This is what I ended up settling on.

I opted to not play Llanowar Elves so I could try to be a little more grindy. The deck is favored against Mono-Blue Curious Obsession with all the removal and main deck Harpooners. I liked that about it and that Rekindling Phoenix is decent against most of the decks right now. I thought the match against Sultai Midrange would be equal, and in all honesty it could be. I just got bodied by multiple Hyrdoid Krasis and multiple Vivien Reid while not drawing my own planeswalkers. The deck also had the combo of Goblin Chainwhirler and Status // Statue. We aren't all in on it, but Status also works with the Hellkite. Statue is also good at dealing with Wilderness Reclamations and is never a dead card.
Overall, I think this deck is fine to play at FNM, but I would not recommend it for a large event. It is an excellent shell to start out with but it needs work and it's probably just better off as a Gruul aggro / midrange deck or a Rakdos Aggro / midrange deck. It's difficult to play three color decks with almost no way to manipulate your library.
Well, that's all I have for you today. Hope you all have a great weekend!
As always, thanks for reading,
