Welcome back everybody! Today we revisit Temur Paradox Engine combo. In the past, I built a colorless Paradox Engine deck I really liked, so when I saw Mountain-Goat had done well with this deck on MTG Arena, I figured I would try the colored version of the deck. Technically, it can combo faster if left undisrupted.
Let us look at the decklist!

My overall thoughts are that this deck is weaker than the colorless version because you turn on removal spells for creatures. If you play the colorless version, this isn't the case. You also dodge Aether Gust with Colorless, gain access to a lot of utility lands, get Mystic Forge, and Forsaken Monument. It is powerful and sweet to run Emry, Lurker of the Loch alongside Paradox Engine to loop infinite mana by untapping your Elves or Mana rocks. You can even get infinite mana if you have Paradox and two Mox Ambers or really any other cheap artifacts in your graveyard for Emry. Escape to the Wilds is a good way to refuel for this deck, but I still think Mystic Forge and Karn, the Great Creator from the colorless version is better, especially since Karn, the Great Creator just shuts off opposing mana artifact decks.
All that being said, I do believe this deck is good and has a higher deck improvement ceiling in the colorless version. It's just missing a few cards from being a nightmare of a deck in Historic.
Until next time!
