Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner! Lukas Blohon won Pro Tour Eldritch Moon and he did it with a bit of an under dog. Some people say that cards like Spell Queller and Emrakul, the Promised End make control decks unplayable. Lukas says otherwise and his unique build is really the bee’s knees. He has the perfect mix of removal, discard, value and game closers. If you like Jund in Modern, Lukas' list has a lot of the same elements and is just as good.

Yet again, we had some awesome games and the deck did not fail to impress. I love Gideon, Ally of Zendikar, Archangel Avacyn and Linvala, the Preserver together and this deck gives them serious support. The discard is perfect against the Emrakul decks and the removal is perfect against everything else. Sometimes you get caught with your pants down in Game 1, but you have amazing postboard configurations. If you pick this deck up, I would strongly suggest that you focus your practice on postboard games. This deck will also shine in a small, known meta like your local store because you can tune it to beat what you expect to face.
Until next week, GLHF friends. May you smite thy enemies with a golden axe!
