As the sun finally sets on Collected Company and it rotates out of Standard, I am eager to be done with it. But, this week's deck has me pumped even though the 4-cmc Instant is included. I will be playing Ryoichi Tamada's deck from the World Championship. What makes it so cool is it is playing 4 Foul Emissary and 4 Elder Deep-Fiend which is an absolute knock out play if you can curve into it on turns 3-4 but even in the later stages of the game it is still great. Many of the typical Bant Company elements are present like good sources of pressure and card advantage but to make room Tamada cut the Dromoka's Commands and Spell Quellers! That’s crazy! But, it kind of works out. Every card can be played pro-actively, impacts the board and fit into the Deep-Fiend state of mind. This deck is super sweet and Foul Emissary is a good card to keep in mind for future brewing.

I am not going to lie, this deck really impressed me. In some of the games it felt like there was absolutely nothing my opponent could do. I like that feeling. Out of all the Bant Company decks, this one actually seems to make the worst use of Collected Company because Elder Deep-Fiend is the star of the show. Some of the cards are rotating, but most of the shell and what makes this deck good will continue into Kaladesh Standard. I think my updated variant below has some serious legs. Oath of Nissa helps smooth our draw and find our Deep-Fiends while the addition of Servant of the Conduit and Thalia, Heretic Cathar boost our tempo. The deck doesn't have any removal, but we can flood the board with a bunch of stuff, tap or bounce the opponents stuff and shove. If you were a fan of Bant Company, you should certainly give this deck a try.
